Local band A Bottle of Dog has released their newest single, titled “Captain’s on Board,” featuring an image of Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s chief pilot, Matt Wilcock, on the front cover.
This captivating song is now available on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a powerful photograph taken by renowned Sony ambassador and award-winning photographer Terry Donnelly.
The image showcases Matt seated in the cockpit of the charity’s Bell 429 helicopter, capturing the essence of his role as a true captain and leader.
Vince Cater, bassist and the joint lead vocalist of A Bottle of Dog, expresses the band’s delight in collaborating with Wiltshire Air Ambulance for their latest release. The band, known for their indie rock sound with a touch of the 1970s, hails from Chippenham, Wiltshire. They are excited to not only share their music but also support Wiltshire Air Ambulance by performing at the upcoming Minety Music Festival on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
Fans can look forward to “Captain’s on Board” being included in A Bottle of Dog’s highly anticipated new album, scheduled for release later this summer. As a gesture of support, all profits from the single will be donated to Wiltshire Air Ambulance, aiding their essential helicopter emergency medical services across Wiltshire, Bath, and surrounding areas.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance plays a crucial role in saving lives, but it requires £4 million in annual funding to continue operating. Unlike many charities, Wiltshire Air Ambulance does not receive regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants. Instead, it relies on the generosity of the local public, community groups, and businesses to meet its fundraising target.
