West End choir looking for new members to join with the chance to sing at Cadogan Hall

Enthusiastic singers are invited to join the Marlborough The Sing Space choir, which will have its first get-together of the new season on September 21st at 7.30pm, meeting at St Mary’s Church on Marlborough High Street, with plenty of free parking.

The choir will be singing well-known and much-loved songs from musicals, including Les Misérables, Wicked, West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera and Hairspray, whilst also learning singing techniques direct from West End vocal coach Rachel.

“We are now welcoming new members into our Marlborough choir,” said Rachel Lynes, who spent ten years performing lead roles in London’s West End and is vocal coach to many best known West End stars.

“We will be spending most of the session learning the best showtunes in harmony. I’ll also be giving tips to get the most out of singing voices, including breathing, resonance, posture and range.”

The choir will run termly, with all singers invited to perform at Cadogan Hall – a 1,000 seater concert hall in London – to raise funds for a mental health charity. The choir will be singing on stage, side-by-side with some of the West End’s biggest names.

The termly fee for the Marlborough choir is £124.50, with part-funded places available for those on Universal Credit. Each session runs for 90 minutes.
