Ed Byrne Brings New Stand-Up Show ‘No Dramas’ to Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre

One of Britain’s best-loved comedians is heading back to Swindon with a brand-new stand-up show promising plenty of laughs about the everyday frustrations that unite us all.

Ed Byrne will bring No Dramas to the Wyvern Theatre on Friday 14 May 2027, following the huge success of his previous tour, Tragedy Plus Time, which became his highest-rated Edinburgh Fringe show and played to sold-out audiences across the UK for almost two years.

The new show sees Byrne return to familiar territory, finding comedy in the small irritations of everyday life as he attempts to navigate a world that seems determined to test his patience.

Your Holiday Starts Now

Describing the show, Byrne promises an evening spent examining the petty grievances and minor annoyances that can leave even the calmest people quietly seething.

His previous show, which explored grief, loss and the healing power of humour, earned widespread critical acclaim and was named the Best Reviewed Show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023. This time, audiences can expect a lighter look at life’s daily dramas, delivered with Byrne’s trademark intelligence, warmth and razor-sharp observational humour.

Now in the third decade of his television career, Byrne has become one of the UK’s most familiar comedy faces, with appearances on programmes including QI, Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You, The Graham Norton Show and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled. He has also hosted Live at the Apollo and appeared on a host of celebrity quiz and entertainment shows, including The Chase, Pointless, Celebrity Best Home Cook and Celebrity Bridge of Lies.

Away from the comedy circuit, Byrne is also well known for his love of the outdoors, presenting factual programmes including Volcano Live, World’s Most Dangerous Roads and Into the Wild with Gordon Buchanan.

Before arriving in Swindon next spring, Byrne will also take his career-spanning show The Story So Far to audiences in Norway, Finland, Iceland and Denmark.

With a reputation for combining quick wit with relatable storytelling, No Dramas is expected to be another popular stop on Byrne’s latest UK tour.

Ed Byrne performs at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, on Friday 14 May 2027. Tickets are available through the theatre’s box office.
