Theatre Fun and Spectacular Spacebots for all the Family

Edalia Day will be bringing a relaxed work-in-progress version of their family-friendly show ‘Spectacular Spacebots’ to the Shoebox Theatre on the 21st of September!

Developed and presented as part of the Artist Residency programme at the Shoebox, ‘Spectacular Spacebots’ is a new family show about autism and space adventures. Join Zee, robot adventurer, as they battle space wizards, gunslingers and a quizzical hippopotamus, asking what does it mean to be human. And how far do you have to go to be accepted as one…

“As well as supporting theatre makers to develop new work, our residency programme means that the local community can see new theatre and take part in workshops for subsidised prices. We are able to offer tickets for Spectacular Spacebots for only £3 and this also includes the opportunity for 7-12 year olds to take part in a free theatre workshop led by the incredibly talented Edalia.” said Hannah Marquez, Producer at the Shoebox Theatre.

As well as recently starring in BBC’s Casualty, Swindon born Edalia, will have just finished a full run at Edinburgh Fringe with their 5-star rated ‘Too Pretty to Punch’.

“We are so lucky to have such an abundance of talent working with the Shoebox and are delighted to welcome back professional theatre maker Edalia, who will also be running a Lecoq masterclass for actors during their residency”

‘Spectacular Spacebots’ is suitable for all the family and will be performed at the Shoebox on Saturday, 21st September at 1pm, with a FREE theatre workshop for ages 7-12 at 11am. Find out more and book tickets at www.shoeboxtheatre.org.uk/whatson
