Get ready for a delightful theatrical experience as The Duke’s Theatre Company bring you their new production of Twelfth Night.
Whether you’re watching in 2023 or transported back to the year 1602, this play promises to captivate your imagination.
At first glance, you might expect a dark tragedy. Losing a twin sibling in a treacherous storm at sea is a nightmarish premise, after all. However, what unfolds is a romantic comedy filled with madcap antics at its core. Prepare for a blend of the broadest humor, such as poor Malvolio falling victim to absurd tricks, and moments of poignant sadness, like Sir Anthony Aguecheek’s poignant reflection on lost adoration.
The Duke’s Theatre Company are bursting with excitement to share this production with you but has resisted the urge to reveal all the surprises. Rest assured, though, that Shakespeare weaves a tale that resolves itself in a way only he could accomplish.
What can you expect from a performance by the Duke’s Theatre Company?
