The adorable new Afternoon Tea event designed especially for little ones starting school this year…

As August enters its second half, parents will no doubt be turning their attention to school with many children entering the exciting new chapter for the first time.
To help calm the nerves and send newbies off in sentimental style, family favourite play venue, Hocus Pocus Play, has designed a sweet Afternoon Tea event, especially for those starting school and their weepy grown-ups.
Based just 20 minutes from Swindon on the outskirts of Fairford, the School Starter’s Crafternoon Tea takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, the 28th August with 2 bookable 2-hour sessions.
As well as full access to their enchanted play area, the family-run business will also provide all materials and instruction on how to make a ‘pocket hug’ – one for each child to keep with them and feel comforted as they take their next step to school, and one for each adult to treasure too.
All participating guests will receive a delicious homemade afternoon tea at their reserved table, with tasty treats to enjoy together and no need to worry about mess and noise! Not cute enough?
The event will also be joined by award-winning storyteller Kate Claxton, for a sweet story time, all about new and exciting starts and sure to settle the pre-September nerves.
Designed with school starters in mind but open to all, this sweetly sentimental session is the perfect way to round off your summer holidays and send your big babies off on their school journey with a spring in their step and a hug in their pocket.
Tickets are now limited but can be found at: https://www.hocuspocusplay.co.uk/store/crafternoon-tea-book/
