You are invited to join in a musical journey as Swindon Recital Series, founded 29 years ago by the talented pianist Paul Turner, continues its commitment to bringing world-class chamber music to Swindon.
The final instalment in the Lunchtime Concert series, titled ‘French Impressions,’ promises a magical experience for all.
The Swindon Recital Series, running from September to April, showcases regular concerts at various venues, including the Wyvern Theatre and the Arts Centre. Paul Turner, an Honours graduate and Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, leads the series with a dedication to providing outstanding chamber music performances by professional musicians.
For this special occasion, Paul has curated a captivating programme dedicated to children of all ages. The enchanting ‘Children’s Corner’ suite by Debussy, written for his three-year-old daughter, and Poulenc’s ‘L’Histoire de Babar, le petit éléphant,’ inspired by the children’s book, will come to life as Paul takes on the roles of pianist and narrator.
Paul Turner, recipient of the Queen’s Commendation for Excellence and the Peter Pears Accompaniment Prize, is an experienced recitalist who has graced London’s leading venues and major UK festivals. His performances extend to Europe and South America, collaborating with esteemed singers and instrumentalists.
Join Swindon Recital Series at the Wyvern Theatre on February 21st for what promises to be a mesmerising performance by Paul Turner.
Adult tickets are £7 (plus a £1 administration fee), student tickets are £3, and accompanied children aged 14 and under are admitted free of charge.
