A call has gone out to Swindon households from the producers of one of Channel 4’s most familiar property programmes – and if you’re at odds about staying put or packing up, this might just be your moment.
Love It or List It, hosted by much-loved duo Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer, is looking for families in Swindon to take part in its brand-new series. The long-running show is produced by Raise the Roof Productions and follows couples or families who are divided about whether to renovate their current home or sell up and move on.
For anyone unfamiliar, the premise is simple but relatable. One half of the couple is convinced the family has outgrown their home and wants to move. The other believes the house still has potential and can work better for them with the right improvements. Enter Kirstie and Phil.
Kirstie Allsopp brings her creative flair and home transformation know-how to the table, working within a set budget to give properties a fresh lease of life. Meanwhile, Phil Spencer pulls together a shortlist of properties that could tempt the family to make a fresh start elsewhere. Throughout the episode, viewers watch as tensions rise, ideas clash, and loyalties are tested.
The hour-long programme reaches its crescendo when the family must decide: stick with their newly transformed home and Love It, or take the plunge and List It for pastures new.
Applications are now open, and Raise the Roof Productions are particularly keen to hear from Swindon families wrestling with this exact dilemma.
