Phil Cooper Brings Indie-Pop Craft to The Tuppenny This February

Bristol-based singer-songwriter Phil Cooper is set to perform at The Tuppenny on 12 February, bringing his distinctive brand of contemporary folk-pop moves and indie grooves to the venue for an intimate live show.

Best known as one third of acclaimed folk/Americana trio The Lost Trades, Cooper has also maintained a prolific solo career spanning nearly two decades. During that time, he has shared stages with artists including Badly Drawn Boy, The Bluetones, and Mark Chadwick, steadily building a reputation for finely crafted songs that resonate long after the final note.

Cooper’s vocals and songwriting have drawn comparisons to Neil Finn, Glenn Tilbrook, Stephen Stills, and Glen Hansard, combining melodic immediacy with emotional depth and lyrical warmth. His live performances are widely praised for their engaging, conversational style, blending heartfelt moments with wit and charm, and inviting audiences to both reflect and sing along.
