The magic of the pantomime season has once again descended upon Swindon, and this year’s production of Snow White at the Wyvern Theatre has proved to be another dazzling spectacle of talent, humour, and festive cheer and I will put my neck on the line and say this is By far the BEST Panto I have witnessed at the Wyvern in many, many years!
Ru Paul’s Drag Race sensation, Divina De Campo, took to the stage as the wicked Queen Morgiana, casting her spell of charisma and commanding presence over the audience.
The regal presence of Channel 5 Milkshake! Presenter and TikTok sensation Nathan Connor adds a modern twist as he graces the role of the Prince, while real-life Disney Princess Samantha Dorrance embodies the timeless charm of Snow White.
The cast is completed by the presence of Swindon’s newest, well nearly new, panto dream team – the man with the many voices, Paul Burling, and the theatrical powerhouse, David ‘DASH’ Ashley. Together, they bring the classic fairy tale to life with a fresh and captivating energy.
Divina De Campo’s portrayal of the evil Queen Morgiana is mesmerising. With a perfect blend of wickedness and theatrical flair, she commands the stage, leaving the audience, and on occasion herself, both in awe and anticipation of her next move. And who knew she could sing like that?
Nathan Connor and Samantha Dorrance as the lovable Prince and Snow White! These two are like a perfect harmony on stage, bringing a load of fun to the fairytale. Their performances clicked together effortlessly, weaving a magical tale that’s not just enchanting but also loads of fun!
The comedic genius of Paul Burling and the dynamic stage presence of David Ashley ensured that every moment was filled with laughter and enchantment.
The choreography, with its annual silly dance routines and musical numbers, kept the audience engaged from start to finish. Imagine Theatre’s attention to detail, from the elaborate costumes to the enchanting set design, transports the audience into the heart of the fairy tale.
