A full day of live music, family entertainment and fundraising is set to take over Nine Elms later this spring as Swindon Summer Fest returns in support of Prospect Hospice.
The charity music and family fun day will take place on Saturday 23 May from 12pm at The Nine Elms, Old Shaw Lane, bringing together local performers, traders and community groups for what organisers hope will be a memorable afternoon.
Headlining this year’s event is Evolution, leading a packed line-up of live acts throughout the day. Also performing are Roughcut Ruby Band, 4 of Hearts, The Lost Hills Band, The Prysm Trio, Bradley Cowtan, Guilty Pleasures and Jason Boorman — offering a mix of crowd-pleasing covers and original material.
Away from the stage, there will be plenty to keep families entertained. Children can enjoy face painting and glitter tattoos, soft play areas and an assault course, while fairground rides and even a surf simulator promise a few thrills.
A range of stalls will offer sweets, treats and drinks alongside arts, crafts and handmade jewellery. A raffle and charity auction will also run during the day, with additional fundraising activities taking place across the site.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Prospect Hospice, supporting its work providing end-of-life care and support to patients and families across Swindon and the surrounding area.
Organisers say the event is designed to bring the community together while raising vital funds for a cause that touches many local families.
