Geoff Marsh and His Zany Crew Bring Festive Fun to Swindon Arts Centre with The Caped Avengers Pantomime

Prepare for laughter, music, and mischief as Geoff Marsh, along with his lively gang, returns to Swindon Arts Centre this December with their latest original Christmas Pantomime – “The Caped Avengers.”

Celebrating his 42nd year of crafting pantomimes, Geoff Marsh is a seasoned master in the art of blending tradition with originality. His theatrical journey began at the age of 15, and by 16, he was already penning his first panto – a version of Cinderella that toured local schools.

As the head of the local troupe Stage Struck, Geoff presented his inaugural Swindon panto, “Aladdin,” in 2001 at Greendown School. The resounding success of this production marked the beginning of an annual tradition at Swindon Arts Centre. Geoff and his team aim to offer pantomimes that veer slightly off the beaten path, exploring unique and original narratives.

While traditional tales like Cinderella, Dick Whittington, and Babes in the Wood have graced the Swindon Arts Centre stage, Geoff Marsh also introduced original creations such as “The Princess and The Dragon,” “Space Trek,” “Jurassic Lark,” and “The Magic Toymaker.”

Despite their originality, Geoff Marsh’s pantomimes remain rooted in tradition, boasting a delightful mix of comedy, sketches, audience participation, slapstick scenes, and catchy tunes.

For this festive season, the spotlight is on “The Caped Avengers,” a hilarious spoof on superhero movies. Drawing inspiration from the world of Marvel and DC, where iconic characters like Iron Man, Batman, and Superman reign supreme, Geoff Marsh and his team promise a panto treatment like no other.

Embrace the spirit of the Panto season and join the fun at Swindon Arts Centre this Christmas! Tickets for “The Caped Avengers” can be purchased online here or at the Wyvern Theatre Ticket Office.
