A quick chat with Harry Hill

Last time Harry Hill was in Swindon an apparently inebriated man in his underpants climbed on to the stage and began to chat with him.

According to Harry, “When I asked security after the show why they had not removed the stage invader, they replied that they thought it was a part of the show!”

Hopefully nothing as impromptu will happen this time, as Harry Hill’s KIDZ SHOW: How To Be Funny – For KIDS! comes to Swindon. This will be the first time the revered comedian has taken to the road in five years, ties in with the release of Matt Millz Stands Up, the sequel to Harry’s critically lauded kids book, Matt Millz, about the world’s youngest comedian who dreams of making it big.

Your Holiday Starts Now

Harry’s show will offer hints, tips and anecdotes for children who fancy themselves as a bit of a joker, with the self-styled floppy-collared loon Harry Hill on hand to run through his dos and don’ts, as well as offering kids the chance to try out their comedy skills, hopefully while being laughed at!

So kids – bring your best jokes! And if you’re sitting near the front, bring your umbrella! Expect big laughs, practical tips and bucket loads of water silliness.

Harry uses comedy as a great leveller, which is vital to engaging with people of all ability to create inclusive comedy, encouraging creative expression free from ridicule.

As a child himself Harry had a dry sense of humour and was responsible for his schools magazines joke page, coming up with the daily punchline.

The show aims to engage an audience of 8-12, but younger viewers can still enjoy the delights of a show chocked full of props, clarinets, violins and the wild unpredictability of a little audience participation!

Older members of the audience can rest assured as there is sure to be some of Harry’s trademark razor wit and exuberance snuck over the heads of those more innocent!

Harry Hill will be performing the “Harry Hill KIDZ SHOW” at the Wyvern Theatre on Thursday the 1st of November at 11:00 am. It will be a 1 hour show, followed by book signing and photos.
