Fabulous Frenchman David Bellego can’t wait to help Swindon keep on winning!
Bellego, widely regarded as one of the key signings in their title winning season, played a key part in the Charity Shield win over Belle Vue last month.
But the season was halted just after it started thanks to the savage rain over Easter, much to everyone’s frustration.
Now Bellego and the rest of the CFS Filtration Robins are relishing the prospect of launching their Premiership defence when they go to Wolverhampton next Monday – before the next home meeting against Leicester on Thursday April 12.
He said: “It was nice for us to win against Belle Vue over the two legs, a good way for us to start the season.
“Now we have to get down to the league business and get some points on the board. It’s been a long winter and we can’t wait to get some meetings under our belt now.”
Alun Rossiter’s men have five Premiership fixtures in April with Abbey dates against Leicester and King’s Lynn on Thursday 12 and 19 respectively.
