House of Fraser are preparing to close half of its stores, putting 6,000 jobs at risk under Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) plans.
The department store, with an Outlet location in the town centre have unveiled plans to close as many as 31 of its 59 shops in a drastic attempt to save the business and cut costs.
