The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum are inviting participants to sign up for the annual 10k run through The National Arboretum, Westonbirt, as fundraisers.
The event is due to be held at 7pm on Wednesday 23rd May, participants who commit to raising a minimum of £90 in sponsorship funds for the arboretum will have their entry fee waived. In addition, they will receive a free Westonbirt 10K t-shirt plus a 15% discount off sports gear at RunnersNeed.com.
A highly successful event organised by the Forestry Commission last year, the 10K run attracted 100 fundraising runners who between them, raised over £10,000 for the continuing conservation of the arboretum.
Interested participants should now sign-up and create their own fundraising page at fowa.org.uk/support-us/fundraise/.
General entry for non-fundraisers opens on Monday 12th February. For further information on the event go to: forestry.gov.uk/westonbirt-events.
