Swindon Town have added further steel to their back line with the signing of Thomas Wilson‑Brown, a promising young defender arriving on a season‑long loan from Leicester City, subject to EFL approval.
The 20‑year‑old, a naturally left‑footed centre‑back, makes his way to Wiltshire fresh from a successful spell north of the border with Kilmarnock. During the second half of the 2024/25 season, he impressed on loan in the Scottish Premiership, showing calmness beyond his years and an ability to slot into several defensive roles when called upon.
Wilson‑Brown committed his future to Leicester City earlier this year with a new deal running until 2026, before being loaned out to gain regular first‑team experience. His arrival injects youth, drive, and welcome competition to the Robins’ defensive set‑up as the club embarks on a campaign filled with high hopes.
Before heading to Scotland, Wilson‑Brown was a regular feature for Leicester’s Development Squad, notching eight appearances in all competitions and even earning a place in the senior matchday squad for a Premier League fixture against Manchester City last December.
Speaking shortly after putting pen to paper, Wilson‑Brown said:

Wilson‑Brown becomes Swindon’s tenth signing of the summer and will wear the number sixteen shirt as Ian Holloway’s side look to build momentum for the season ahead.
