Swindon Town Striker Harry Smith Signs New Contract Until 2027

Swindon Town have confirmed striker Harry Smith has signed a new contract keeping him at the County Ground until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The forward remains a popular figure both on and off the pitch at the club and was named Swindon Town’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign following a string of influential performances and important goals.

Smith missed the entirety of the 2025/26 season after suffering a serious ACL injury, but the club says he has continued to play an important role within the squad during his rehabilitation.

In announcing the extension, Swindon Town highlighted the striker’s professionalism and determination throughout his recovery, alongside the positive influence he has maintained within the dressing room.

Manager Ian Holloway said Smith had shown remarkable resilience during a difficult period.

“Harry’s attitude through what has been a really tough injury has been first-class,” he said.

“He’s shown real resilience, and he’s been a massive part of the group even when he hasn’t been able to get on the pitch.”

Holloway said the club remained confident Smith could return to the level which made him one of the side’s standout performers before injury struck.

“He was our Player of the Season for a reason, he had a huge impact on us, and we all believe he can get back to that level again,” he added.

“He’s a top professional, a great character, and someone the lads really respect. I’m delighted he’s staying with us.”

The new deal underlines the club’s long-term faith in Smith as he continues his recovery ahead of a hoped-for return to action in red and white.

Supporters will now be hoping to see the striker back on the pitch at the Swindon Town F.C.’s Nigel Eady County Ground during the 2026/27 season.
