Swindon Town Football Club has announced the departure of head coach Mark Kennedy after just 13 games at the helm.
The club expressed gratitude for Kennedy’s efforts and wished him well for the future, signalling a swift end to his tenure following a challenging start to the season.
With Kennedy’s exit, coaching duties will now be managed by first-team coaches Marcus Bignot, Steve Mildenhall, and Gavin Gunning, who will collectively lead the team in their upcoming fixture against Gillingham.
Fans can anticipate a further announcement as Swindon Town searches for a new head coach to guide the squad forward. The club stated they would provide an update at the earliest opportunity, as discussions about Kennedy’s successor are likely already underway.
Saturday’s clash will be a huge test for both the players and the interim coaches, as Swindon Town aims to secure its position in League Two.
