The first round draw of the Carabao Cup descended into a farce as Swindon were shown on the livestream to be playing away at AFC Wimbledon when in fact the club is playing away to seeded club Norwich City.
Another unseeded club Charlton Athletic were shown to be playing twice, away at Exeter and home to Cheltenham when in fact the latter are playing Oxford.
Guardian Sport with coverage of the draw
Forest Green Rovers took to Twitter to correct their fixture, shown on screen as away to Wolverhampton Wanderers when in fact they were playing at home to MK Dons.
The Football League have apologised, saying the draw itself had been carried out correctly and that incorrect fixtures broadcast were the “result of human error”.
Teams were divided into regional groups for north and south, then split into two pots for seedings, with a separate draw to determine who would play at home.
