Swindon boss Alun Rossiter is anticipating plenty of Easter excitement when Poole visits the Abbey this afternoon (5pm).
The Carpets4Less Robins will cap off a busy weekend with a mouth-watering local derby against the Pirates.
Rossiter’s side booked their place in the next round of the Knockout Cup with a home win over Rye House on Thursday and will now go in search of three SGB Premiership points.
They will be at full strength with Adam Ellis returning from injury to face his former club – and Rossiter knows his side will need to be at their best.
“It’s going to be a tough one against Poole, it always is,” said Rossiter. “They’ve shown the last few years that they know how to win and do what they have to in order to be at the right end of the table every year.
“There’s always that added spice against Poole, because it’s our local derby and we’ve had a great rivalry the last few years.
“We’re pleased to have Adam (Ellis) back, and after a good win against Rye House we’re looking for another victory.” Poole are led by Krzysztof Kasprzak and former Swindon man Hans Andersen, whilst they also include talented Australian duo Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder.
Local lad Darryl Ritchings will also take on his hometown club after being booked to guest for James Shanes at reserve for the Pirates.
