Rossiter urges Robins to “get the job done”

Swindon boss Alun Rossiter says his side have plenty of work left to do if they are to book their place in the Knockout Cup Final.

The Carpets4Less Robins head to Belle Vue’s National Speedway Stadium on tonight (7.30) where they’ll be looking to defend the 11 point advantage they were able to build up in last week’s home leg.

The Blunsdon outfit head to Manchester with three guests in Brady Kurtz, Tomas H Jonasson and Liam Carr with Jason Doyle in Sweden ahead of Saturday’s Grand Prix, Bradley Wilson-Dean fulfilling Championship commitments with Peterborough and Zach Wajtknecht still on the sidelines.

Said Rossiter: “Of course it’s not ideal but I’ve booked three riders who I think are capable of coming in and doing a job for the team.

“We were a bit disappointed that we weren’t able to win the first leg by a few more with everything that went on but it is what it is and we’ve still got a job to do.

“Belle Vue are very strong around their own track though and we’ll have to battle hard to make sure we get the job done.

“We’ve done pretty well when we’ve been to Belle Vue this year but Friday’s is a new meeting and we know they’ll be up for it too.”

Belle Vue have drafted in former Robin Hans Andersen in place of Max Fricke who is also racing in this weekend’s Grand Prix while Ben Hopwood stands in for the injured Jack Smith.

BELLE VUE: Kenneth Bjerre, Steve Worrall, Hans Andersen, Rohan Tungate, Craig Cook, Dan Bewley, Ben Hopwood.

SWINDON: Brady Kurtz, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, David Bellego, Nick Morris, Tomas H Jonasson, Liam Carr.
