Swindon star Bradley Wilson-Dean has had a few days to reflect after becoming the New Zealand Champion.
The talented 22-year-old claimed his first national title in memorable circumstances – just a couple of weeks after signing for the M&S Van Rental Robins.
The result is sure to give Wilson-Dean a major boost ahead of his return to the UK ahead of the 2017 season.
And he has spoken of his delight after claiming arguably the biggest win of his career so far.
“This title means so, so much to me and it’s an incredible feeling to be New Zealand number one,” Wilson-Dean said.
“It was a tough meeting against some strong opponents and in that A Final I knew I had to make the perfect start from the outside gate.
“I enjoyed the win and it will take a while to sink in for sure but it’s a great feeling. I want to thank all of my family and sponsors who have supported me in 2016 and long may this feeling continue in to the New Year.”
Meanwhile, Robins boss Alun Rossiter has offered his congratulations to Wilson-Dean and is excited to see him in action for the Robins.
Rossiter added: “It’s a great win for Bradley and we’re delighted to see him win his national championship.
“We’re excited to see him riding for Swindon next season, so hopefully he’ll come in with plenty of confidence from that and hit the ground running.”
