Jason Doyle and Nick Morris will roll back the years when they represent Swindon in tonight’s Premiership Pairs at Somerset.
The Robins pair are strongly fancied for success in the opening Speedway Great Britain (SGB) major event of the year at the Oaktree Arena with plenty of Swindon fans set to make the trip.
Both riders had successful spells in Somerset colours in the old Second Division before making the full-time move to the top flight.
Said Morris: “The riders always enjoy events like this and I’m really looking forward to it.
“Somerset is a great track and Jason and me will be looking to do well for Swindon.
“I’ve won things in my career but it would be special to win this. It’s a tough field, though, so it’s going to be a tough meeting.”
Swindon launch their SGB Premiership campaign at Leicester tomorrow (Saturday) before their opening home meeting next Thursday against Belle Vue.
