Robins proud to support Becky Morris Fund

Swindon Speedway will raise money for two valuable causes at their night of celebration tonight.

Members of the 2017 Premiership winning side will be displaying the trophy on a parade at the Abbey Stadium – the homecoming of the champions who won the title on a dramatic night at Wolverhampton.

Admission is free for the event – but donations will be taken upon entry to the stadium.

The club are pleased to support the Becky Morris Fund. Becky is the sister of Robins favourite Nick and suffers from Rett Syndrome which means she cannot communicate properly.

The fund has been set up to enable the family to purchase a Tobii eye gaze device which would make it easier for Becky to communicate with family, carers and friends.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: “We are pleased to support the Morris family. They are very close friends of Swindon Speedway and Nick has been very loyal to the club.

“I’d urge all supporters to give as generously as their circumstances allow as we want to raise as much as we can for Becky as well as making a donation to the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund.”

Gates and the middle bar will be open from 6.30 with the team heading out to parade the trophy around 7.15.

Supporters, general public and members of the media are invited to a night of celebration at The Abbey Stadium.
