Swindon bid to extend their winning start to the Premiership season in a tough trip to Leicester on Monday (7.30pm).
The CFS Filtration Robins launched their title defence in perfect fashion last week thanks to maximum points from their opening two fixtures, and so they head to the East Midlands in good heart.
Their last trip to the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena proved to be a hugely dramatic encounter and eventually resulted in the fourth victory of what turned out to be a record-breaking 16-match winning run.
Robins trailed by eleven points with four races to go, but with the Lions hit by injuries Swindon recorded three 5-1s to turn the contest around – and won the match with Nick Morris and Tobiasz Musielak both passing Danny King in Heat 15.
Alun Rossiter’s side are forced into one change for Monday’s meeting as French star David Bellego has been granted compassionate leave to attend his grandmother’s funeral on the same day.
Robins will operate the rider-replacement facility which means each member of the team with the exception of skipper Morris can take Bellego’s outings.
Leicester have also made a positive start to the campaign despite the broken ankle suffered by No.1 Martin Vaculik in the aborted clash between the sides at the Abbey ten days ago.
The Lions collected four points from last week’s clashes with Somerset and have now made team changes to bring them back to full strength.
Experienced Danish star Kenneth Bjerre, who topped the Belle Vue averages last season, will make his debut in place of Vaculik, with Todd Kurtz also added to their side at reserve.
Rossiter said: “We’ve got to have our trapping gloves on when we go to Leicester, as we did at Poole last week.
“If we don’t do that we’ll get beaten, simple as that. We’ve got to be hard in the first corners and make sure we get the points up there.”
LEICESTER: Kenneth Bjerre, Kyle Newman, Danny King, Krystian Pieszczek, Hans Andersen, James Sarjeant, Todd Kurtz.
SWINDON: Nick Morris, David Bellego R/R, Troy Batchelor, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, Zach Watjknecht, Mitchell Davey.
