David Flitcroft has moved quickly to add Amine Linganzi to the new Town squad after the player was advised yesterday he would not be offered a new contract at recently promoted Portsmouth.
Linganzi only moved to Fratton Park last season and made 23 appearances, scoring one goal in Portsmouth’s League Two title-winning campaign.
Speaking to the cub’s official website Linganzi rates Town as the best club in the division:
“It is a great opportunity to play for the best club in League Two,”
“I hope we are going to have a successful season and the aim is to go to League One.
Linganzi is Flitcroft’s sixth signing of the summer and rumours are next week will see more new faces, possibly a town favourite of old if the rumours are to be believed…
