Lee Kilby has landed a double-up role for 2018 – after joining Birmingham as their new Commercial boss.
Robins chiefs are delighted for Kilby, who has thrived in his position at The Abbey Stadium during the memorable 2017 Premiership league winning season.
Kilby himself is looking forward to becoming even more heavily involved in the sport and insists his work with the Robins won’t be affected.
“This can only be a good thing for me and it’s nice to see that my work for the Robins has been recognised by people elsewhere too,” Kilby said.
“I spoke to Terry Russell and Steve Park and they were really happy for me and it’s another big opportunity for myself.
“I think working for more than one club will have benefits along the way and just because I’m going to be also working for Birmingham, that won’t affect any of my work for Swindon.
“My role with the Robins is part-time realistically, even though the hours are a few more than some people probably realise.
“But having two very similar jobs now turns my passion of speedway into a full-time job and I’m really looking forward to next season already.”
