Swindon Town fans have finally got what they have been asking for this month with the club finally bringing to an end all of the speculation about Eoin Doyle rejoining the promotion race from Bradford City.
After shooting himself to a record three straight EFL Player of the Month awards Doyle never continued his blistering form at Valley Parade and it has been widely expected throughout the transfer window that he will return to the County Ground to finish what he started.
Upon Doyle’s signing, Lee Power said “We’re delighted to have Eoin back – it’s been a long, hard negotiation to get him here but I think I can speak for the whole football club and pretty much the whole of Wiltshire that everyone is really excited to see him back in a red shirt.
I’d also like to put on record that my counterpart at Bradford, Julian Rhodes and the guys at Bradford, found themselves in an unprecedented situation and nothing would give me greater pleasure than both clubs getting promoted this season as I’ve always had a soft spot for the Bantams since my playing days. I look forward to seeing everyone at the County Ground on Saturday.”
With both the Ginger and Yorkshire Pele’s now back in the red of Swindon Town this weekends top f the table clash is going to be interesting.
