Swindon Borough Council have exchanged contracts with the joint venture of Swindon Town Football Club and Trust STFC for the sale of the County Ground.
This is a massive step forward for the club and will help ensure an exciting future both on and off the pitch.
Swindon Borough Council have said a big thanks to their officers and staff at the Club and Trust for making this deal happen. There are still some details to be worked out, but they have said that the completion date for the deal will be no later than the end of next month.
