David Bellego is the fifth member of Swindon’s Premiership winning side to sign-up for a return in 2018.
The 24-year-old will be back at The Abbey for a second successive season alongside Nick Morris, Tobiasz Musielak, Adam Ellis and Zach Wajtknecht.
The Flying Frenchman enjoyed a fine debut season with the Robins in 2017 and was the club’s second highest points scorer during the regular campaign.
Team boss Alun Rossiter admits Bellego was always in his plans and believes there’s even more to come.
“David was one of the signings of the season for us and he did remarkably well for the team,” Rossiter said.
“Some of his performances went under the radar at times I felt, but he was quite brilliant for most of the season and his consistency was very impressive in the main.
“He really impressed us as a management team both on and off the track and we signed him as a club asset with the vision of using him in our team again for 2018.
“I can see him building on what he achieved with us this year and I think he’ll have another great season.
“We’re thrilled to be able to fit him back in and that means every rider we’ve signed so far is back from the team that won us the league.
“I personally think that’s brilliant for us as a club and in particular our supporters.
“They’ve already got an affinity with these boys and they can now extend that relationship and that could be key to more success next year.”
