Swindon Town has this afternoon confirmed Ricky Aguiar has left the club and joined National League side York City for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL approval.
The 23-year-old made 41 appearances for Town since joining back in August 2021, scoring twice and recording an assist during his time with the club.
He now moves to York, who finished 20th last season in the National League, as the midfielder looks to find regular minutes with the Minstermen in the fifth tier of English football.
The club statement said “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ricky for all his efforts during his time with us and wish him all the very best for the future.”
