Who will be the first to shout BINGO?!

Youth development charity, the Youth Adventure Trust knows that for many children and young people the return back to the classroom after so many months may be more than a little daunting.

That’s where Back to School Bingo comes in – a FREE resource to help you prepare for the transition back to the classroom in September.

Using a traditional Bingo grid, young people choose a line of 5 activities such as trying on the school uniform or waking up before 8am; making the usual journey to school or watching an art video tutorial.  Send in photo evidence and once a line is completed … it’s BINGO!  Anyone with who send in evidence that they have completed a line will receive a certificate and a water bottle as a prize.

Have some fun, help the young people around you to prepare for September and alleviate some of the anxieties that they may have as the return to the new school term approaches.

The Youth Adventure Trust is a registered charity that has helped thousands of young vulnerable people through its outdoor adventure programme which builds resilience, confidence, self-belief and essential life skills – transforming children’s lives. Since lockdown began, the charity has been supporting the 11-16 year-olds on its programme by providing online mentoring and virtual group sessions.

Mark Davey, CEO of the Youth Adventure Trust says: “We wanted to make sure young people up and down the country can enjoy some positive experiences over the summer holidays, but we are acutely aware of the anxiety that is building up around being back in the classroom.

“After numerous conversations with the young people on our programme about their concerns, we developed Back to School Bingo. It is a fantastic way for anybody of school age to prepare for that transition and make it a bit easier in September.”

Back to School Bingo is one part of the Youth Adventure Trust’s Summer of Adventure which has been kindly supported by The North Face and Ellis Brigham Mountain Sport.  It is completely free to take part in the Back to School Bingo, but if you do enjoy getting involved, the charity asks that you make a donation to help ensure vulnerable young people can get the support they need during these challenging times.
