A Wroughton man has been disqualified from driving after he was caught driving under the influence of drugs.
John Westmorland, 44, of Perry’s Lane, was arrested back in May during a Roads Policing Unit day of action.
Westmorland was witnessed driving a Saab over the Magic Roundabout by an Roads Policing Unit officer in a manner which led him to believe he was under the influence of drugs.
The vehicle was stopped in Ocotal Way and a roadside drug wipe test was conducted which tested positive for cannabis.
He pleaded guilty to drug driving at court and was given a 12 month driving ban and ordered to pay Crown Prosecution Service Costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £85 and a £230 fine.
