Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Swindon yesterday afternoon (30th January), with the driver failing to stop at the scene.
The incident occurred at approximately 3.35pm at the junction of Bay Tree Court and Pinehurst Road. The vehicle involved, a green Vauxhall ADAM GLAM, had been stolen overnight from the Old Town area and was later recovered by officers near the scene of the collision.
Two males who were inside the stolen car fled towards Hornbeam Court, and officers are continuing their enquiries to track them down. They are described as white, one wearing blue jeans and a white top, while the other was dressed in black. One of the suspects had a beard, while the other was wearing a hat.
The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment.
Residents in the area are urged to check any Ring doorbell footage or CCTV that may have captured the suspects or the vehicle.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 214 of 30th January.
