Barratt David Wilson Homes’ site managers Clyde Cocking and Robin Clarke have received top national accolades for their exceptional work at Wichelstowe.
Their recognition comes in the form of the Pride in the Job Awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC), often referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry.
Cocking and Clarke, who oversee the Orchards Rise and Orchards View sites respectively, are among 89 Barratt Developments site managers who have been honoured with these awards. This achievement marks the 20th consecutive year that Barratt has topped the list, with more Pride in the Job awards than any other housebuilder, amassing over 1,500 individual awards in total.
The Pride in the Job Awards celebrate the finest site managers across the country, with over 8,000 entrants each year. The awards are based on strict criteria including technical expertise, health and safety, leadership, and attention to detail. They play a crucial role in raising standards within the housebuilding sector by highlighting the pivotal role site managers play in ensuring new homes are built safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Russell Glimstead, Regional Managing Director (West Region) at Barratt Developments PLC and Wichelstowe LLP Board Chair, commented: “To have won more awards than any other housebuilder for 20 years in a row is an incredible achievement and underlines our commitment to building the very best new homes for our customers. Every customer who buys a home built by a site manager who has won a Pride in the Job Award can have confidence that their home is of the highest possible quality.”
Earlier this year, Barratt also achieved a 5 Star rating from its customers in the HBF Customer Satisfaction Survey. This survey recognises both build quality and excellence in customer care, with more than 90% of Barratt customers stating they would recommend the company to a friend. This marks the 15th consecutive year that Barratt has maintained this 5-star rating.
