Which countries will pay towards your holiday?

With coronavirus still dominating the headlines and the governments two-week quarantine in place for people landing into English airports it doesn’t look like travelling abroad freely will an option again just yet.

However, when these restrictions are lifted many people will be looking to get away for the Summer.

Before you pick up the holiday brochures it may well be worth considering some of the countries who rely heavily on tourism they are willing to pay towards your holiday as a way to entice you into spending your holiday money there.

Your Holiday Starts Now

Sicily
The Italian island was one of the first to come out with an offer to tourists. Offering to pay up to half the cost of flights, and with some accommodation on a ‘stay for three nights, pay for two’ deal the island is going to be great value for money when we can eventually travel.

Mexico
Another country looking to offer incentives towards flights and accommodation is Mexico.

The Association of Hotels in Cancun is looking at incentives such as a buy on get one free offer on hotel accommodation along with a collaberation being worked on with different airlines to cover some of the flight cost too. Keep an eye out on the official tourist page if you are planning to head out to Cancun.

Bulgaria
Bulgaria will not be offering free flights or accommodation but travellers can expect to be rewarded with other freebies such as sunbed use at Sunny beach among the offers available.

Japan
Despite a number of reports bad news for those looking to travel east. Japan have reportedly offered to cover flights, hotels and other tourist expenses to entice visitors but this is in fact untrue. The Japanese government are looking at ways to cover costs for domestic tourism only.
