On the 23rd of March 2024, from 9 am to 1 pm, Swindonians are invited to take their dirty cars to the Westlea charity Car Wash which will be raising funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. Organisers are gearing up for a day of fun and fundraising, encouraging everyone to come together for a worthy cause.
Both cash and card payments will be accepted, with a minimum donation of £5 per car.
Swindon Fire Station and Stratton St Margaret Fire Station will also have crews at the event to help clean the cars.
In the interest of safety and to avoid congestion on main roads, organisers stress the importance of accessing the station via the housing estate side and not Mead Way. This measure ensures a smooth flow of traffic and minimises any potential hazards, with Mead Way designated as an exit route only.
The event will run from 9 am to 1 pm, and the organisers express their hopes to see a strong turnout, as every contribution makes a meaningful difference to The Fire Fighters Charity and the invaluable services it provides.
