With significant employment law changes set to take effect in April, a free webinar aims to help businesses stay informed and prepared.
The event, organised by HR specialists the HR Dept, will take place on Thursday 27th March from midday to 1pm, providing essential guidance on the latest legislative updates and offering practical advice to employers.
The webinar is open to all businesses and will cover key topics such as new statutory pay rates, the introduction of neonatal care leave, and the evolving landscape of workplace policies. Led by Hayley Preedy, an expert from the HR Dept, the session will provide insight into the forthcoming changes and address common concerns from employers.

Peter Jones, Managing Director of the HR Dept Swindon, North Wiltshire and East Cotswolds, stressed the importance of businesses understanding the updates to avoid potential pitfalls.
“One key change coming in April is the introduction of neonatal care leave, which grants paid leave to parents whose newborns require neonatal care,” said Peter. “In addition, National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates are increasing, along with changes to statutory sick pay and parental leave entitlements. Employers need to be aware of these adjustments to ensure compliance.”
The webinar will also tackle the growing conversation around encouraging staff to return to office-based working. Many businesses are keen to reinstate office environments as the primary working model, and the session will offer strategies to help navigate this transition.
