Thames Water have been working for the last three hours to find the source of the water leak causing low pressure and no water in areas from SN1 to SN3.
After locating a mains leak on East Wichelstowe Way engineers have now fixed the problem which has seen water restored to properties affected.
It is taking longer than expected to restore the water to properties in Old Town and Thames Water will be distributing bottles water from 7am this morning.
Thames Water have apologised for the inconvenience caused and wish to thank customers for their patience.
