Swindonians are being warned to expect more snow and freezing conditions this weekend with the ‘Beast from the East’ making a comeback to the UK.
Parts of the country are being advised to avoid unnecessary travel it is expected up to six inches inches of snow will fall in places today with some 70 flights cancelled just along the M4 at London Heathrow already today.
Swindon was yesterday put on an amber alert meaning there will be an increased likelihood of bad weather affecting the area but updates this morning suggest that may have been downgraded.
Should the amber alert be reinstated this weekend it will potentially mean you having to cancel plans, having to deal with travel delays, road and rail closures with possible interruptions to power and also the potential risk to life and property.
