National Highways has announced planned closures over a series of weekends to facilitate essential maintenance on the Highworth Road Bridge. These closures, which span both the north and southbound lanes, will see weekend closures for the section from Turnpike Junction to Sainsbury’s Junction.
National Highways understands the potential inconvenience posed by construction-related noise. In light of this, the spokesperson emphasised, “Due to the nature of the work, we are carrying out there will be times when the work will cause some noise disruption.
“Every effort will be made to keep the noise to a minimum, and we will plan the work to take place at times which will cause the least disruption.
“However, please note there will be works 24 hours a day.”
Closure Dates:
The A419 closures are scheduled on the following weekends:
- Northbound: Friday, 1st September, to Monday, 4th September
- Southbound: Friday, 22nd September, to Monday, 25th September
