The annual Perseid meteor shower, the spectacular sight of hundreds of shooting stars streaking across the sky, will be lighting the night sky up this week.
Expected each night this week through until Saturday stargazers from Swindon will be making the trip up to Barbury Castle to get the best view.
The best time this week is going to be the early hours of August 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th according to experts with those watching from the ground expected to see 50 or more meteors fly by each hour.
