Wellbeing Festival returns to STEAM Museum this weekend

The Swindon Wellbeing Festival is set to return to the STEAM Museum this weekend, building on a strong first outing last year with two full days dedicated to rest, reflection and self-care.

Taking place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February, from 10am to 5pm each day, the festival promises a relaxed and uplifting programme designed to help visitors slow down, reset and explore different approaches to wellbeing.

Across the weekend, visitors can expect a mix of workshops, expert talks, taster sessions and stalls, offering something for anyone looking for calm, connection or a positive start to the year.

This year’s programme includes a wide range of interactive workshops, from breathwork and intuitive dance to reiki meditation and mindful movement. One of the highlights is a sound bath session, where participants will experience gentle vibrations and calming tones created using Himalayan bowls, gongs and chimes.

Workshop places are limited, with spaces released in three booking slots across the day. All sessions are included in the ticket price and can be booked on the day.

Alongside the workshops, a series of talks will explore themes such as breathwork recalibration, learning to step back from unhelpful thought patterns, and how to create short, restorative ‘micro-retreats’ within everyday life.

The Great Western Hospitals NHS Choir will also perform during the weekend, adding a live music element to the programme.

Visitors will have the chance to sample mini taster sessions including massage, reflexology, reiki and beauty treatments, with local wellbeing practitioners on hand to offer guidance and advice.

A selection of stalls will be selling wellbeing-focused products, including natural remedies, aromatherapy items and crystals, while refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the event.

Councillor Marina Strinkovsky, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Placemaking and Planning, welcomed the festival’s return.

“I’m glad that the Wellbeing Festival is becoming a regular part of STEAM’s events calendar,” she said. “The festival had a successful first year and it’s great to see it coming back.

“With so many different aspects of wellbeing and health represented, I’m sure people will find plenty to explore and get involved in. This is the first of some exciting events coming to STEAM in 2026, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the museum’s website and social channels to see what’s coming up.”

Tickets cost £17 for a day pass or £30 for a weekend ticket. Both options include access to talks and workshops, subject to availability.
