Longleat has been ranked among the top 10 per cent of attractions worldwide in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2025.
The Wiltshire estate – which celebrates 60 years since opening the world’s first Safari Park outside Africa in 2026 – has been praised by visitors for its unique mix of wildlife, heritage and family-friendly experiences.
Simon Askew, Chief Operating Officer at Longleat, said the accolade was particularly meaningful because it was based on guest feedback:
“We are very grateful to our guests who have taken the time to leave reviews sharing their experience of a great day out.
I am especially proud that visitors regularly comment on the ‘wow’ factor created by our staff. Their enthusiasm and animal knowledge really lift the experience.”
He added that conservation, sustainability and education remain at the heart of Longleat’s mission:
“Bringing these values together in a fun day out for people of all ages means we are all contributing to protecting vulnerable and endangered species.”
Recent changes at the park have been guided by visitor comments, with 2025 seeing the return of the popular bat cave, the re-introduction of hippos, and improvements to accessibility including sensory bags and new signage.
Scott Ashman, Head of Operations, said:
“We are delighted to have been recognised for creating memorable days out. This award is testament to the hard work of our teams and the support of our visitors.”
Longleat’s day ticket includes entry to all attractions and free parking, with small additional fees for animal feeding experiences.
