Virgin Voyages has this week announced that comedian, actor, and presenter Jack Whitehall will headline its 2025 Comedy Festival at Sea.
The award-winning comic, best known for his work on Travels with My Father and as host of the BRIT Awards, will join passengers on an unforgettable six-night cruise departing from Portsmouth on 30th August 2025.
The sailing, aboard the adults-only Scarlet Lady, promises laughter-packed evenings as Whitehall takes to the stage alongside other comedy talents. Guests will also enjoy visits to La Coruña, Bilbao, and Bordeaux – a perfect blend of seaside sights, cultural delights, and world-class entertainment.
Virgin Voyages, a five-time Cruise Critic Award winner, continues to elevate its onboard offerings with new menus, revamped entertainment, and luxurious refurbishments. From May, the ship’s Italian-inspired eatery, Extra Virgin, will introduce fresh pasta dishes, seafood risotto, and roasted monkfish. Meanwhile, from July, Korean BBQ hotspot Gunbae will spice things up with shrimp kimbap rolls, bulgogi fire meat, and bo ssam – a show-stopping roasted pork dish served with oysters and caviar.
The Scarlet Lady’s recent makeover has added new suites, VIP poolside cabanas, and a striking new mermaid figurehead. Guests can also expect two new theatre productions, an interactive Y2K party, and a lively rock-show-style karaoke night.
