Town sign Liverpool striker on a permanent deal

Swindon Town FC have confirmed the signing of Liverpool forward Paul Glatzel on a permanent deal, pending EFL approval.

The 22-year-old, a product of Liverpool’s renowned academy, captained the side to Youth Cup triumph in the 2018-19 season, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess with an impressive 28 goals during that campaign.

Glatzel has established himself as a prolific scorer in Liverpool’s Academy, having also represented both England and Germany at youth levels, including the Germany U18s.

Adding to his experience, the forward had successful loan spells with fellow EFL side Tranmere Rovers, netting six times in 21 appearances during the 2021-22 season.

With a desire to make SN1 his settled home, Glatzel aims to leverage his prior EFL experience with Tranmere and his formative years with Liverpool.

His addition promises to enhance Swindon’s attacking capabilities, contributing significantly to the team’s frontline.
