Swindon Town Football Club have issued a warning to fans looking to get their hands on one of the new shirts released for the 2022/23 season.
The new home and away shirts were a hit with fans and initial orders sold out in just a couple of days after release with more stock expected at the club shop in the coming weeks.
It appears scammers are now targeting fans of the League Two side with websites offering the chance to buy one of the new kits popping up.
A Swindon Town FC spokesperson said ‘
It’s been brought to our attention that there are several illegal websites operating who claim to be selling our new home and away shirts.
We urge supporters to avoid accessing these sites and attempting any purchases as this is a scam, and you not receive official merchandise, if anything at all.’
‘The only place to buy our new home and away strips is from our club shop and online store, www.stfcdirect.com, and although we are currently experiencing issues with our supplier, more shirts will be arriving imminently.’
