Three people were arrested following a warrant at an address in Manchester Road, earlier today.
A quantity of class A drugs were found inside the address, as well as cash.
Two women in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug.
He’s since been released under investigation whilst the two women remain in custody.
PC Nick Finning, who is the local neighbourhood officer for Broadgreen and the Railway Village, said: “Drug dealing can have a really negative impact on a community, both for those involved and those living nearby.
“Those involved in drug supply and drug use are often involved in other types of criminal activity, including anti-social behaviour, violence and possession of weapons and we do not underestimate what kind of impact this can have on those living nearby. This behaviour will not be tolerated and we will do all that we can to target those involved.
“We rely on the local community to provide us with information and we will always act on this in any way we can – this warrant is a prime example of that. It also shows that despite the current health pandemic, we continue to patrol, conduct warrants and make arrests for unrelated matters.
So please, if you have concerns regarding drug activity in your neighbourhood, call us on 101.
