The Park Academies Trust Schools Celebrate Outstanding GCSE Success

Students and staff across The Park Academies Trust are celebrating a landmark year as Lydiard Park Academy, Abbey Park School, and Highworth Warneford School announce their best-ever GCSE results. With exam grading returning to pre-pandemic levels, the impressive achievements across the Trust’s secondary schools highlight the dedication and resilience of pupils who have navigated a challenging few years.

The Park Academies Trust recorded their highest percentage of students achieving Grade 5 or above in GCSE English and Maths, marking a significant milestone in the Trust’s history. The collective success of these schools underscores the commitment of both students and staff to academic excellence.

Lydiard Park Academy saw exceptional individual performances, with students such as Alicia Adjei securing seven Grade 9s, one Grade 8, and two Grade 7s, and Jesael Parmaku achieving three Grade 9s, five Grade 8s, and two Grade 7s. These results mirror the school’s strong focus on both academic and personal development.

Abbey Park School also celebrated remarkable outcomes, with Simav Omar attaining six Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, and one Grade 5. Matthew Owen followed closely with five Grade 9s and four Grade 8s, demonstrating the school’s commitment to nurturing academic potential.

Over at Highworth Warneford School, students like Oliver Taylor and Edward Taylor, twin brothers, both achieved outstanding results, with Oliver securing five Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, and a Distinction* in Cambridge National Sport, while Edward matched his brother’s success with four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, and a Distinction* in the same subject.
